We interrupt our regularly scheduled tumbling to let you know that we will be off to sunny Anaheim, California for the next five days pounding the pavement at the American Library Association Annual Conference. Tumbling will be light and probably consist of creepy stalker photos of our favorite authors in the exhibits area.

Thus begins the LJ’s tumblr’s official period of “Not Being at ALA and Also Being Okay with That.” It should last till about Monday. We are Okay with That. Chill Aladdin is clearly Okay with That too.

You know what?  Not okay with that!  Not okay at all!  This is the second year since I started in my grad program that I’ve seen friends head off to sunny New Orleans or sunny California and I’ve been stuck here in Missouri.  So, no.  Not okay.  The only thing that makes me halfway okay is knowing I’ll be spending four days in DC come August, fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine of going to the Library of Congress, the National Archives, and the Smithsonian.
